From day to day, our world has been changed gradually form one condition to another. The revolution of new ideas always comes up to the minds of every person, especially the idea to improve technology which people need to make the living better. As the result, modern technology has been bringing people certain advantages such as ways for fast communication, the improvement of traveling, and good health care medical treatment. However, loneliness, world destruction weapons, pollution, and sameness of lifestyle are brought by modern technology, too.

For the plus side, we can get the fast ways of communication through modern technology, without it everything will be the same. Nowadays, people can get hot news from any parts of the world very quickly by using E-mail and Internet. Moreover, telephone-local or and over sea is playing a key role for people to communicate to with each other.

Next, modern technology brings us the convenience of traveling form one place to the other faster than before. Now, we have aircraft that can make journey shorter, for example, before if you wanted to go to France (form Cambodia), you could not go by train or plane. But now people spend only 10 hours to travel from, Cambodia to France by direct flight these days. So, all transportation means invented with the support of technology really brings people easiness
of traveling.

Moreover, medical treatment has been going well for a long period of time with the help of modern technology. These days, most of the hospitals are using modern technology as the assistance for the operation, for example. Some doctors use new machines to produce medicine which effectively cures people and prolongs the life expectancy around the world. In addition, the discovery of x-ray enables doctors to treat some kinds of diseases.

However, modern technology doesn't automatically bring the good things but some bad points. The booming of industrialization and development causes pollution to our world. For example, the smoke for all kinds of vehicles affects the air, especially ozone layer. As the result, people suffer illness like cancers.

Next, some people use modern technology to create the negative things of the mankind. They create world destruction weapons such as nuclear and atomic bombs. These weapons cause a huge ruin for human beings if we use them in the wrong ways/ For example, the terrorists use grenades to attack honest people who have different tendency from their groups.
Furthermore, modern technology brings loneliness to old people in some countries. In England, old people are left at the government homes that make them feel isolated from their off-springs. This is because.their sons and daughters are busy with their works in new world and forget them.

Last, sameness of lifestyle becomes to the mind of all people. Before people had different cultures and traditions like the way wearing the clothes or building. But people, now tend to build the same models of house and wear the same fashion of clothes.
To conclude, although modern technology brings us some goods benefits, it also gives a lot of bad results. So, to make our world prosperous, we should use the modern technology in the good ways and find the effective solutions to the bad result. 

Advantages of technologies and gadgets:

The advantages of new technologies and gadgets are discussed in the following lines. 

1. Higher profit:

New technologies can benefit your business in a number of ways. You can get higher profits as new technologies increase work efficiency, which in turn, increases productivity. Moreover, fewer work forces are needed as new technologies can automate the work thus reducing the costs more.

2. Fast access to information:

You can get quick access to information with the help of computer and internet, two of the most popular technology and gadget in the present times. The ‘search engines’ on the internet help you find information on any topic that you’re looking for.

3. Increases communication:

Gone are those days when you had to write letters in order to communicate with people staying far away. Nowadays, you can send e-mails and you get the reply within minutes. Moreover, you can also take help of ‘chat rooms’ to meet new people as well as to stay in touch with your old friends.

4. Speed up work:

There are so many gadgets that help to speed up work. Right from household chores to office work, there are gadgets with the help of which you can increase your work efficiency. It helps you to do quite a number of things in relatively less time. 

5.  Better health facilities:

 The advantages of technology include better health facilities due to increased disease diagnosis using technology and faster as well as more accurate business results and solutions through technology. Technology has also enabled the automation of manual work thus saving time and money. It has boosted the entertainment through games and computer programs as well as increase in economy growth due to faster and easier business.

Disadvantages of technologies and gadgets:

The disadvantages of new technologies and gadgets are discussed below –

 

1. Online fraud:

When you use internet for online transactions, there is always a possibility of being a victim of online fraud. As for example, impostors may steal your credit card information and use them for their own monetary gain.

2. Dependency on gadgets:

People are becoming mechanical as they are getting more and dependent on gadgets. Nowadays, human beings cannot do a simple work without taking help of a gadget.

3. Integrating new technology: It is often difficult to take a business related decision about whether to buy the latest technology or wait for some new invention. Moreover, implementing new technology in a business can be quite expensive; therefore, you need to decide whether or not you actually need it. Above all, integrating a new technology in a business is quite a difficult task in itself.

4. Technology related diseases: Human beings are becoming addicted to the new technologies and gadgets, especially, internet and computers. Moreover, young people are getting more and more addicted to mobile phones. Many scientists believe that radiation from mobile phones may cause blurring vision, headaches and earaches and may be the reason of cancer, too.

5.  Mankind's violent nature: technology has lead to the invention of numerous weapons that have lead to the deaths of nearly a billion people over our history (A-bomb, automatic rifle, sword and shield)

6.  Over dependence: we have become over dependent on our machinery and cannot seem to function without it: (computers, television, automobiles.)

7.  Related to the above is sloth: As machinery picks up the slack humans tend to become lazy.

8.  Death of written arts: As television and the internet and gaming increase in popularity, pieces of written work fall into the background of culture. Most people in the younger age group were unaware of the lord of the rings until it was filmed.

9.  Lose of local work: As the ability of satellite and telephone conferencing becomes more available it is possible to send more jobs abroad.

10. Health problems: as the automobile has slowly progressed so has its fuel. The formula for gasoline has changed several times, one of the most harmful was a gasoline mixture with beryllium in it with has been proven to cause cancer.

11. Transference of technology to less mature users: It is widely known that the USA has given technology for war use to Israel and other countries in times of crisis, but what isn't well known is that the Taliban was a guerrilla group armed and trained by the United States that was meant to drive Communist Russia out of Afghanistan. After the Russians were defeated in Afghanistan in the 80's the people we trained formed terrorist groups (The Taliban) that were responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

12. Cloning: While making a perfect Identical clone is currently impossible there is a problem with the basic genetic markers in most animal DNA that causes a major problem. There are markers of unknown quantity in all mammal DNA these markers decay and get shorter every time they are replicated which is what is theorized to cause aging. CO2 in the air cause acid rain or carbonic acid H2CO2 to form... it has lowered the pH in some parts of the ocean from 8 to 6.5.

14. Doomsday scenarios: there are many doomsday scenarios like nuclear holocaust and man made virus problems but one of my favorites is the GRAY GOO theory. In this theory self replicating nano robots smaller than most cells are created to do various jobs. One of the theorized jobs is to remove floating oil from the ocean after an oil spill. Oil is mostly carbon so the bots need to be programed to eat this particular carbon, but it is thought if they malfunction they may eat all carbon! Meaning Zillions of self replicating carbon hungry monsters, light enough to be evaporated with water and rained down world wide, would eat every thing carbon on the planet! reducing trees, plants and animals to a grayish colored goo.

Therefore, it can be concluded that there are both advantages and disadvantages of using new technologies and gadgets and it depends on mankind how they want to use them.

It is quite impossible to think of a life without technologies and gadgets. Technology can be defined as a process with the help of which human beings modify nature in order to meet their growing needs. Technology leads to innovations and inventions and one such invention is gadgets. There are so many varieties of gadgets that are designed to suit human needs. But the questions is, are there only advantages or there are disadvantages as well. This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using new gadgets and technologies.
